Our Mission

To create a community of support for those living with Parkinson's. The National Parkinson's Association exists to help increase access to best practices and critical resources by building a collaborative model for enhanced patient performance, medical education, and expert-level training for non-surgical practitioners, no matter where in the world they reside.

Team Bios

Tom House, Co-Founder & Spokesperson

Tom House has spent his life chasing the science behind human performance.

In the 1970s, he pitched eight seasons in Major League Baseball with the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, and Seattle Mariners—most famously catching Hank Aaron’s record-breaking 715th home run.

Yet, it was after his playing days that Tom truly made his mark.

Becoming known as the “throwing whisperer,” Tom pioneered the marriage of biomechanics, psychology, and coaching. He has worked with some of the greatest athletes of our time—helping baseball legends like Nolan Ryan and football icons like Drew Brees and Tom Brady unlock new levels of performance. Brady once credited Tom’s philosophy of “re-learning” as the secret to extending his career: training yourself to undo habits built over thousands of reps and discovering new ways to grow when most would decline.

But life threw Tom a different kind of challenge. Fifteen years ago, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Where others might have stepped away, Tom leaned in.

Drawing on a lifetime of coaching the world’s elite, he now applies the same science of movement and mindset to his own fight—and to others battling Parkinson’s through his work with the National Parkinson’s Association.
